The Hippest Grandmother I Know

May I present: the Rev. and Mrs. Enoch D. Caulder

Enie (pronounced e'knee) and Dot (pronounced .) were born, raised, and lived their whole lives in the swamps of my birth in South Carolina. My grandfather pastored the same church for 40 years, while my grandmother took care of me, my Mom, and my great-grandmother. PaPa has passed away, but we know he is in a better place now.

Is that what real red-necks look like?

Yes.

What does your grandma do now?

She is retired, which translates into nothing which requires a whole bunch of energy. She travels, reads, watches T.V., and shops way too much. Other than that she is active in her local church and loves to visit with family.

How long were they married?

Good question. All I know is more than 50 years. A long time.

What does your grandma think of you?

She thinks I'm the best grandson she has (of course I'm the only grandson she has) and supports me 100% in the work for God I do. Her only regret (which I disagree with totally), is that I married a yankee girl. Oh well, I never said she was always right. And to think June wonders why she ever married a hick. Oh well.
