UCFKids

"My children and I have lived in Syracuse for several years
now. One of the mainstays of my living here is the fellowship
that I belong to. UCFkids offers my children a place to go and
hang out on a Saturday morning/afternoon. They are given a lunch
and also spend time with people who genuinely care about them.
The workers at UCFkids encourage my children and also listen
to them, which is so important! There are always great activities
or field trips planned. They have been to the zoo, museums,
parks and sledding with UCFkids. But more than that, a caring
environment is available for them. My kids always come to me
and tell me about the prayer requests they have and how they
are able to ask God to help them. This has been a comfort to
me enduring the pain of a divorce. UCFkids gave my youngsters
an outlet during a time that was hard for them and me."
"My children love to go to UCFkids because they have fun while
they are learning. Lesson activities are different from week
to week. One week might be a skit or drama to get the message
across. Another week an artist may draw as a story unfolds.
Another week games and crafts may be used to teach a point.
The kids also have the opportunity to be a part of the teaching
as well by helping out in a drama. To be honest, what is not
to like? I feel safe leaving my child in UCFkids' care and they
have a great time. They want to go back. They want to participate
and are learning about God and themselves in the process."
